I started too late to get my grandmother's and my dad's stories. I didn't want to miss my mother's.
Some of my mother's family descends from the Oneida community in New York. In the '90s one of her cousins wrote up a family history and mailed it to all the cousins. My mother still has it, and it'll go to my daughter.
I like to walk the greenways around Nashville. VerbaPost started as a way to write a letter on a walk. Now we call people, record their stories, and mail them on linen paper.
